Buttercream & Blooms is an elevated, hands-on cake decorating experience inspired by motherhood. You will learn how to decorate a vintage piped cake with ribbons, enjoy curated refreshments, have the option to purchase permanent jewelry and get to build your own flower bouquet to take home!
This class is not only for moms- just designed to give them a day to enjoy creativity and presence. This class is perfect for moms and their older children/grandchildren (recommended for ages 12+), moms needing some creative time away, moms to be, or anyone who wants to enjoy a spring decorating class.
The skills you will learn include:
Frosting and smoothing a crumb-coated cake
Romantic, vintage piping techniques
Tying and placing ribbons
Open opportunity for Q&A with Andrea
Class Date: Sunday, May 3rd
Class Time: 11:30AM-1:30PM
Class Location: The Story Room
Studio Address: 7720 Clyde Park Ave SW, Byron Center, MI
Dress Code: Spring Garden Party theme! We recommend taking this as an opportunity to dress up as there will be a lot of photo opportunities. Aprons will be available for use :) Think pastel colors, floral dresses, etc! Dressing up is not required!
Andrea’s husband will be taking professional photos during the class. You are welcome (and encouraged!) to have him take photos of you with your cake, mom, alone in your cute outfit, etc! The class is in a gorgeous, BRAND NEW photo studio that we are honored to be able to enjoy. He will also take photos during class of you working on your cake. The full gallery will be sent via email to each attendee within a few days of the class and can be used as desired!

4” crumb coated cake (your choice of flavor - GF options available) to decorate and take home professionally packaged!
All the supplies needed to decorate your cake.
The opportunity to purchase permanent jewelry from Life & Etc.- a great opportunity to gift jewelry to or match with mom!
Guided instruction from Andrea herself as well as an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
Charcuterie, light refreshments, and VFB treats
Photo backdrops and lots of opportunities to take your own photos! Andrea and her husband will also be taking professional photos that will be shared with you after class.
A small flower bouquet to take home that you will get to choose and arrange yourself!
A chance to create with your friends and make new ones while enjoying treats, listening to music, taking photos, and having a great time!
Tickets are non refundable due to the preparation of materials and limited seating. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend with a minimum of 72 hours notice.
In the unlikely event that the class is cancelled by Violet Flour Bakes, a full refund will be issued.
This class is designed for guests ages 12 and up.
