Behind Violet Flour
Hi, Im Andrea — the baker, artist, and heart behind Violet Flour Bakes. I specialize in creating elegant, modern cakes and desserts that are as beautiful as they are delicious.
My passion for baking started young, and I turned it into a profession by earning a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts from the Culinary Institute of Michigan in 2018. With a foundation in classical technique and love for a clean, modern design, I blend artistry and flavor to create desserts that feel as special as the moments they are made for.
When I am not baking, I enjoy spending time with my two young daughters and husband. We are a very busy family of entrepreneurs! My husband owns a local gym and I am also pursuing the art of lifestyle photography. I love anything and everything creative, the beach, chamomile tea, early 2000’s R&B, and the occasional pottery class. Despite being a baker, I have a huge passion for health and wellness which has inspired me to source quality ingredients and experiment with desserts that everyone can enjoy regardless of dietary restriction. Beyond baking, I have extensive knowledge of food itself, nutrition, allergens, and proper food sanitation. I am most definitely considered a “crunchy mom” but also the fun mom that always has cookies.
Inspired by romance, florals, and my daughters ( whose birth flowers inspired the name Violet Flour), I bring heart and intention to every detail. Creating in any form is what drives my passion.
